River Oaks Bobcats Capture Dorchester District Two 2025 Middle School Football Championship
Dorchester County, SC — November 6, 2025 — The River Oaks Middle School Bobcats capped an outstanding season by capturing the Dorchester District Two 2025 Middle School Football Championship, defeating the James Island Trojans in a thrilling matchup by a score of 32–26. The championship game was held on November 5, 2025, at Steve Laprad Field on the campus of Fort Dorchester High School. With the victory, the Bobcats completed a remarkable 8–0 undefeated season, demonstrating teamwork, discipline, and excellence throughout the year.
The team was led by Head Coach Delfonte Springs, who was recognized as the Dorchester District Two Middle School Football Coach of the Year, an honor voted on by fellow coaches across the district.
Running back Domonique Blue earned Player of the Year honors after a standout season, highlighted by a dominant performance in the championship game where he scored four touchdowns to lead the Bobcats to victory.
Dorchester District Two congratulates Coach Springs, Domonique Blue, and the entire River Oaks Bobcats football program for their accomplishments, commitment, and representation of excellence both on and off the field.
Athletic Director Madalyn Smith & Principal Jennifer Tracy, commended the program, stating, “This season was a tremendous display of hard work, sportsmanship, and dedication from all our middle school teams. Coach Springs and the River Oaks program exemplify what it means to develop student-athletes the right way—through teamwork, character, and perseverance. We are proud of their success and the positive example they’ve set for Dorchester District Two athletics.”
