The Be Present S.C. campaign works to improve school attendance statewide. Nearly one in four South Carolina public school students are chronically absent (22.5%). The S.C. Education Oversight Committee launched this campaign to raise awareness of how absenteeism harms achievement and to encourage parents and students to make attendance a priority — helping every child stay on track for success.
